The pattern we keep seeing

## Does this sound like your nonprofit?

Your nonprofit is doing impact-making work (think $1M to $15M budget) but the team is stretched thinner than ever.

You know AI could potentially change everything for your org, but who has time to figure that out?

That strategic thinking time? That deep work? It's become a "someday" item.

The grant writing keeps happening in panic sprints. The donor thank-yous keep going out late.

You've been told to do more with less for years.

Donors who deserve a personalized touch are getting batch emails. Many are getting no follow-up at all.

Time feels constrained every week. The work that needs to happen keeps overflowing to some other day.

The case for support is overdue. The board packet is half-written. The campaign is launching in three weeks.

Your best people are the closest to leaving, and you can't blame them.

If this is you, you're ready to do *impossible* things.

Why we exist

## We've been on the inside of this work for over a decade

If Possible exists to help nonprofits do impossible things. We've spent 11+ years inside the sector, helping 100+ orgs raise more than $200M. Across all of that work, we keep seeing the same pattern. Ambitious missions colliding with finite capacity. The money is tight. The talent is thin. The work outpaces the team and mission every single year.

Underneath all of it lived a tension that never went away. These are teams doing real, excellent good in the world. The mission is clear. The heart is there. The capacity to deliver on it is the gap that never closes. That's been the shape of nonprofit work since the dawn of time. Until now.

This new era shatters all of it. Artificial Intelligence has changed everything. Not a small tweak here and there, no, we mean the version of AI that nobody is teaching nonprofits yet. The kind that gets trained on your org, learns your voice, knows your donors, and runs systems alongside the humans on your team and makes nonprofit work feel magical. When we applied AI to the clients we were working with, the results stopped looking like productivity gains and started looking like transformation.

The If team has now built this work inside orgs across the country. What's possible now looks like this:

- The case for support that used to take three weeks ships in *27 minutes*.
- The annual report comes together in *a morning*.
- The $250K grant gets drafted in *a day*.
- Every donor gets a *personalized* touch this quarter.
- Executive directors who lived in their inbox are back in the *strategy seat*.

Most of what nonprofits are being taught about AI right now is basic ChatGPT prompts. That doesn't move the mission. Most of the rest is non-impactful tech jargon; learning what AI is in the abstract doesn't help you actually do anything with it. Our work focuses on purposeful, meaningful implementation. Building practical nonprofit intelligence systems that change what your nonprofit can do and the impact you can make on the mission you exist for.

What you thought was impossible is now possible.

Meet the founders

Colleen Cook is a co-founder of If Possible. She has spent more than 15 years at the intersection of nonprofit fundraising and technology. Her first development job started with a front-page story saying her organization would close, with every donor in town upset. She and Scott also run Vinyl, the agency where they've helped 100+ nonprofits raise more than $200M. At If Possible, Colleen helps nonprofit leaders turn AI into systems that produce real results, and she hosts every If Possible cohort session and masterclass live with Scott. She also writes for [The Art of the Possible](https://ifpossible.ai/articles/) on fundraising, AI strategy and getting time back. Find her on [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/colleentcook/).

Scott Williams is a co-founder of If Possible. He has spent more than a decade in nonprofit fundraising work across 100+ organizations. He and Colleen also run Vinyl, the agency where they've helped those nonprofits raise more than $200M, so he knows what it costs to hand-build an idea. At If Possible, Scott helps ambitious nonprofit leaders build AI-powered operations: a Mission Brain that holds the organization's voice and knowledge, and AI Teammates that support the people on staff. He hosts every If Possible cohort session and masterclass live with Colleen. He also writes for [The Art of the Possible](https://ifpossible.ai/articles/) on implementing AI, prompts and strategy. Inside the method

## The If Possible Method

Build the AI Systems that power your org to:

- Raise impossible money
- Dream an impossible future
- Run an impossible org

[See how the method works](https://ifpossible.ai/method)

### The three pieces we build

The foundation

#### Mission Brain

The organized collection of everything your org knows. Your data, story, stats, processes, policies, voice, donor history, and fundraising methodology. Structured once, used everywhere. Every AI Teammate and AI System draws from it.

The workforce

#### AI Teammates

The staffed AI workforce. Each one a defined role supporting and reporting to a real human on your team. Each one trained on your Mission Brain. Each one runs a system your org owns forever.

The work

#### AI Systems

The recurring work your AI Teammates run. Specific, repeatable pieces of work that draw from your Mission Brain. They generate output and your team reviews, edits, and approves.

Implementing AI

### [AI slop happens when AI sits in the director's chair](https://ifpossible.ai/articles/ai-slop-directors-chair)

Every nonprofit can now make more content than it can read. The teams that sound like themselves keep one job for people: deciding.

Fundraising with AI

### [Build it, aim it, then launch your year-end campaign](https://ifpossible.ai/articles/year-end-fundraising-strategy)

Most year-end plans list who sends which letter. A strategy decides what the campaign is for. Here's how to aim yours in an afternoon.

Most nonprofit AI pilots stall for one reason: no owner, no goal, no feedback loop. Set up those three and the work finally sticks.
